TUNE OF THE WEEK: WINNER “Really Really”

It’s been 3 days since Winner dropped their EP, Fate Number For, and I’ve spent every moment since trying to decide which of the two pieces of musical genius I love more. I have to say, it’s been really (really) hard for me to decide on a favorite. So hard, in fact, that the only reason I’ve picked one over the other is because I’ve been going around singing “really really really really” since Tuesday. Apparently when a song gets stuck in my head, it means I need to write about it so here I am!

The instant I found out WINNER would be making a comeback, I should have started preparing myself. I should have remembered how hard EXIT:E hit me when it dropped early last year. I should have expected I’d be struck just as hard by Fate Number For. I should have known! I should have prepared! But I didn’t. Instead, I indulged in all the teasing from these boys. I allowed myself to get as hyped as a zombie fangirl could possible get, so that when this EP finally dropped, I kinda felt like my world had both ended and just begun, all at the same time. Needless to say, I been a little shaken ever since.

As sad as I am that there are only 2 tracks on this latest EP, the fact that both tracks are amazing definitely makes up for their not being more. I’d rather have quality over quantity and WINNER definitely knows how to deliver on that score. Kang Seung Yoon continues to impress me with his songwriting but really, this doesn’t come as any big surprise. I’ve been a fan of this boy for ages, long before WINNER was even a thing, and not once, in all these years, has he disappointed me. Of course I can’t give Seung Yoon all the credit for “Really Really” as both Mino and Seung Hoon were also responsible for the ridiculously heart-fluttering lyrics. I swear, every time I listen to this song my heart melts! It’s just so darn sweet! *sobs*

Clearly, I am a very biased fangirl here so anything else I have to say will probably be just a bunch of me gushing over my boys so I’m going to spare you that and wrap this up by asking you what you think of WINNER’s new EP. Are you as much a fan of it as I am, or not so much? Let me know in the comments below!
