I have to admit, choosing a single “Tune” to squee over talk about this week was really hard! Between BEAST’s “Ribbon” and NCT 127’s “Fire Truck” and Taemins’ Japanese release “さよならひとり” (to name a few) there are just too many great songs to choose from! (Not that I’m complaining!) Ultimately, it was my renewed love for Seventeen that swayed my decision and yes, I’m totally blaming KCON for whatever happens next…
As anyone who was at KCON NY a couple of weekends ago knows, during their performance, Seventeen promised they would be releasing a new album very soon. Well, little did I know said album would be released mere days after seeing this group of adorable boys in person. I should have been more prepared! I should have taken some sort of precautions to guard me from this eminent onslaught of cute! But no! I had to play the part of the over-eager fangirl who was still coming down off a stupid concert high and I played it so well, I dove straight into the MV for Seventeen’s new track, “아주 NICE” without giving my decision so much as a second thought. Immediately I was assaulted by WAAAAAAAY too much cute and before I knew it, I found myself on the floor, clutching my heart as I watched those stinking adorable boys smile and flirt their way into my affections.
DANG IT SEVENTEEN! I’ve told you this before, I already have a bias list! WHY YOU GOTTA MESS WITH IT!?!
Needless to say, I’m very much in love with “아주 NICE” both as a song and as a video. The song itself is everything I’ve come to expect from a Seventeen title track. It’s fun and catchy and it just makes you wanna get up and dance every time you listen to it. As for the video… WEEEEEELLLLLLLL… I just have one thing to ask. WHO ALLOWED THESE FREAKING PUPPIES TO GROW UP SO FAST??? I mean SERIOUSLY! Wasn’t it just yesterday they were being all cute and squishy in their “Adore U” video? WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!?! I mean they’re still cute and all but HOLY FLIP! I wasn’t expecting to be knocked so completely out of my seat by them! Not yet anyway! It’s still too soon!
Granted, having just seen them in person did change my opinion of them. Watching them perform live, they suddenly they went from cute patoots to dangerously lethal bias wreckers and I guess I’m just not over that shock yet. With images of a flirty Vernon still dancing in my head, I suppose I had no hope of surviving this new MV. Still, I wish I’d prepared myself a little better… Though now that I think about it, how can you ever be truly prepared for a comeback when you know there are going to be thirteen ridiculously adorable boys standing poised and ready to steal your heart? I suppose I should just stop trying to resist the temptation and give into the wishes of my inner fangirl. She’s been spazzing over SEVENTEEN since their debut anyway, so maybe it’s time for me to stop trying to repress her and just let her run free… As long as she doesn’t run straight towards Vernon. Because that boy is just all kinds of bias-wrecking TROUBLE!
