TUNE OF THE WEEK: Park Kyung “Ordinary Love”

You know, when I decided to feature Park Kyung’s solo track, “Ordinary Love,” for this week’s Tune, I had no idea a few days later SubKulture would announce a 3-stop Block B tour in the U.S. this November. Needless to say, the announcement of this tour, combined with Kyung’s solo release, has me feeling all the Block B feels!

I don’t know if it’s because I’m a sucker for sweet love songs or just a sucker for Kyung but I’m completely addicted to “Ordinary Love” at the moment. The song is just so chill, it’s the perfect tune to listen to on a lazy fall afternoon while you’re strolling along the beach or taking a walk through the park or whatever. The combination of Park Boram’s vocals and both Kyung’s vocals and rap is seriously a match made in heaven, they compliment each other so well. In short, this is one perfectly amazing song.

What makes “Ordinary Love” even better is knowing that Kyung not only wrote the track himself, he also worked on its composition alongside Kero One. As I’ve said about a zillion times before, there’s something about a musician who creates his own music… I have so much love and respect for artist who dedicate themselves to their work and Kyung is no exception.

If you’re looking for a catchy tune to brighten your day and perk up your playlist, you can’t go wrong with Kyung’s “Ordinary Love.” It’s sweet and adorable and it never fails to make me smile… Kinda like Kyung himself.
