You know, sometimes you hear a song and it just hits you in a way you can’t really explain. You just heart it and it stirs something deep inside you and suddenly you can’t decide if you want to laugh or cry or squeal or scream… Basically it messes with you on every level and all you can do is sit and wonder how you’ve managed to make it through so many years of your life without this song and that’s exactly what Legend’s newest single, “Trace” has done to me.
Releasing their second digital single on Tuesday, Legend has solidified themselves as one of my new favorite rookie groups and it’s not at all difficult to see why. Just give “Trace” a listen… Go ahead, I’ll wait…
Now do you understand why I’m absolutely crazy about this song? How could I not be? It’s absolutely amazing. The melody is haunting, the vocals are powerful and the video is heartbreaking… Honestly, I can’t listen to this song without getting chills. It’s just so… I can’t even think of a single word to describe this song. Lovely… Haunting… Beautiful… Amazing… Perfection… That might work. Perfection… Yes. Perfect.
