Once again I find myself struggling to decide which tune to feature in this week’s post. Not that I’m complaining. I mean why on earth would I whine about having too much great music to choose from? That would just be silly! Since I can’t decide which tune I love the best, I think I’m going to have you ask you to decide for me.
This week’s candidates are as follows:
Monsta X’s “백설탕”
This “special clip” nearly did me in when it was released. There’s just so much cuteness here, my poor fangirl heart just didn’t know how to process it all. I squeed and sighed my way through the entire thing and then had to go back and do it all over again. (And again and again and again… Yes, I am hopeless.)
NCT 127’s “Fire Truck”
I know the original MV for this track was released last week but the performance video has only been out a day and well, I’m so hopelessly addicted to NCT (in any form) that I’m using this as an excuse to include it in this week’s candidates. I’ve been dying for the performance video to this song and now that it’s here, I’ve fallen in love with this track all over again. Call me crazy if you want to, that’s fine. I’ll just be over here, in my own little world, getting my groove on. 소방차!
Ravi’s “DamnRa”
I can’t really explain why watching this MV makes me so happy. It just does. I think maybe it’s because I feel like Ravi is finally getting to do something he really loves… Maybe it’s just because I really like watching Ravi dance… Maybe I’m just crazy… (Haven’t we already established that fact???) Whatever the reason, I’m loving this Jelly Box release by Ravi and I really hope he gets to express more of this side of him in the future.
Jay Park & Ugly Duck’s “Ain’t No Party Like An AOMG Party”
While this track (and MV) seem very typical for a Jay Park song, that’s not a bad thing. This is a perfect summer party track and my only problem with it is that I can’t enjoy it while my kids are around. (Which is, again, very typical for Jay Park’s music.) Granted, this is only an issue at my house and if I were out with friends, rather than small zombies, I’d have no problem blasting this track as we cruised around the city.
VROMANCE’s “SHE”
I’m completely in love with VROMANCE. Labeled as MAMAMOO’s brother group, this quartet has completely swept me off my feet with their smooth vocals and catchy debut track. I really can’t get enough of this disco-esque track and I’m already looking forward to their next release. (I know, I really should learn to slow down and enjoy one release at a time… It’s just so HARD!)
So, now that you know which tracks I’ve been debating over all week, I need your help in deciding which deserves the title of “TUNE OF THE WEEK.” All you’ve gotta do is cast your vote in the poll below!
