TUNE OF THE WEEK: GOT7 “Confession Song”

I don’t know how things are for you all this time of year but for me, it’s nothing short of insanity. I’ve spent this entire week baking pies and stuffing and casseroles and snacks and sticky rolls and all the yummy goodness that makes Thanksgiving here in the States the amazing feast-centered holiday of awesome thankfulness that it is. Despite all of this insanity, I’ve managed to find a spare minute or two to squee over GOT7’s new holiday themed “Confession Song.” (What can I say, the fangirl never dies, even when she’s up to her eyeballs in sweet potatoes!)

We all knew GOT7 was going to release a repackaged version of their last EP, MAD, and when the first teasers went up last week, I nearly fell over from a sudden attack of cuteness. The GOTOON teaser trailer was just adorable and then the whole confession thing GOT7 announced they’d be doing… Being confession Santas for people who wanted to share a special message with people they love…Ugh! GOT7!!! HOW CUTE CAN YOU BE!?!

I really couldn’t believe GOT7 was going to do a Christmas themed repackage. It was like all the holiday wishes I never knew I wanted to make all came true at once! GOT7 and Christmas… Could you ask for anything better!?! I felt liked I’d died and gone to the swirly twirly candy cane forest in the sky! (In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m a bit of a Christmas lover… *whispers* I taught Buddy the Elf everything he knows!)

Needless to say, I was anxiously awaiting the release of “Confession Song” and the accompanying video so once the video was out, I raced to YouTube faster than a kid races for the presents under the tree Christmas morning. I’m not even ashamed to admit the squeals that came out of me could rival any my kids could ever make. There was just so much cute in this song and video! I just didn’t know how to handle it! Every couple of seconds another moment of super-cuteness would hit me and I’d squeal and squeak and awww and cry like the emotionally unstable, Christmas loving fangirl that I am. I honestly couldn’t decide who was cuter, the boys of GOT7 or these high school kids. Ack! The awkward shyness, the sweetness, the smiles and hugs… Ugh! I AM SUCH A SAP!

Of course the song is every bit as cute as the video which means I love it. Why am I such a sucker for these sweet songs? They make me melt every time I listen to them! Oh well, I’d rather be a melty puddle of happy fangirl goo than a cold-hearted Grinch, especially this time of year. Can’t have Santa putting me on the “naughty” list! Oh wait…

Moving on! I hope this song makes you as happy as it makes me. Personally, I think it’s a fantastic way to kick off the holiday season but what do I know, really?
