You know, when both Big Bang and EXO make a comeback in the same week, it’s really hard not to pick one of them to feature as my Tune of the Week. So rather than spend countless hours scouring the internet for a worthy Tune to compete with the two, I’ve decided to just cave to the pressure and go with one of them because, quite frankly, there’s no reason to fight this one. Both tracks are worthy to be featured in my weekly post but I’ve opted for EXO this time around. Why? You mean you need more of a reason than because it’s EXO?
With the release of their 2nd Album Repackage, EXO decided to thank their devoted EXO-Ls for all of their love and support by releasing 
“Love Me Right” and I have to say, it’s quite the thank you. A catchy mix of funk and pop, “Love Me Right” is everything you could possibly want in a summer release. It’s fun, it’s funky, it’s got a great beat and it’s so darn catchy, you’re guaranteed to have that dang chorus stuck in your head for pretty much the rest of forever. Or maybe that just happens to me…
While I love both the Korean and Mandarin version of “Love Me Right” I’ve got to say, I’m diggin’ the EXO-M version just a little bit more than I am EXO-K’s. I’m not sure I can really even tell you why, other than I think the song sounds better when it’s sung in Mandarin. I know, I’m so very deep and scientific in my opinion forming…
As great as “Love Me Right” is as a song, watching the video is a trip. I’m happy to see EXO has finally broken free from the SM Box but the land they’ve walked into from that box is a colorful and acid-laced as Alice’s Wonderland. 
Don’t get me wrong, I love Alice and Wonderland and EXO so I’m perfectly okay with this technicolored dream land, I’m just struggling to find the link between American football, trips through the forest, weird science experiments and Sehun napping on the train tracks. (Which looked about as comfortable as snuggling with a porcupine. Poor boy!) Maybe there isn’t a link… Maybe it’s just there to be pretty… Maybe I should just be happy EXO finally got out of that dang box… Maybe… Okay, I’ll shut up now.
