Okay, okay! I’ll be the first to admit I’m letting my bias groups get in the way of my “objective” Tune of the Week selections but c’mon! It’s not every day you get to write about a new Big Bang song so I’m gonna make the most of this opportunity while it lasts!
So yes, I’ve decided to make Big Bang’s latest release, “Sober”, my Tune of the Week but it’s not just because it’s a Big Bang song. I actually really like the song… a lot. The brutal honesty and transparent vulnerability of the lyrics speaks to my heart in a way that only G-Dragon can. I don’t know how this man does it but he always manages to write songs that resonate in my core and this is definitely one of them. 
(Which I suppose is a sad testament to the way my life has gone but hey, it’s slowly getting better and that’s what matters.)
The video is actually a lot more cheery than one would expect from a song that talk about being unable to face the day sober but then again, this is Big Bang we’re talking about. Boring isn’t something they’re known for.
Personally, I’m as much in love with the video as I am with the song. The visuals are stunning and the imagery is beautiful. 
The moments when GD relives the memories of his lost love are as gorgeous as they are heartbreaking and there’s just something about watching them run through their “Field of Dreams” that gets me every time. I guess maybe I just needed the reminder to chase your dreams, no matter how crappy life gets, because even if you end up chasing nothing, you’ve at least done more than those who never bothered to dream at all.

I love “If You” so much I can’t even put it into words! T.O.P singing! Oh my gosh! I melted the first time I listened to it! I’m clearly a hopeless BB fangirl but when they keep releasing such great songs, how can I be anything else? lol
Oh yeah T.O.P. – his voice is amazing! I cannot get enough of that sexy voice. Oops I’m squealing LOL
