You know, it feels like forever since I last sat down to write one of these Tune of the Week posts but that’s probably because it has been. What the heck is up with that!?! (I blame life. It’s always trying to mess with my regularly scheduled fangirling. *sigh*)
Since I’ve been out of the blogging loop for a while I’ve decided it doesn’t really matter which song I decide to feature for this week’s tune, as long as I pick one. With that being the case, I’ve opted for B1A4’s “Sweet Girl” because well, it’s a flipping fabulous song and I just really, really wanna squee over this one for a moment.
The song itself has this awesomely groovy 70’s vibe to it that kinda makes me feel like I should go watch old episodes of The Love Boat. (And yes, that’s a good thing. I have fond memories of watching that show way back in the day…) I really can’t listen to “Sweet Girl” without feeling like I need to get up and dance. It’s so sweet and catchy and the boys are just so irresistible during their live performances, how could anyone not love this song?
Speaking of those live performances…
I know I usually spend time squeeing over the video that accompanies a new (or in this case, new-ish) song but honestly, it’s B1A4’s live performances that have captured my attention and my heart. Sure, the video is cute, with the boys in their various concepts but really, the overall concept of this song and the way the boys pull it off on-stage is really what sold me on “Sweet Girl.” If you ask me, their stylists deserve some sort of award with this one. Their concept is just that good!
Of course with “Sweet Girl” being released two weeks ago, we’ve had plenty of time to appreciate both the song and all those wonderful stage outfits performances. What I wanna know is, have you found your favorite yet… (I know I have! hehe) And just out of curiosity, has anyone found a way to get over these concept photos B1A4 released prior to this release? ‘Cause if you have, would you please share your secret with me? I still fall out of my chair every time one of these pics makes it way onto one of my timelines (or blog post)… Holy cripes!
So tell me, what do you think of B1A4’s “Sweet Girl?” I know I’m coming late to the party with this one but really, is it every too late to fangirl? Let me know in the comments below!
