After waiting for what feels like forever, 2PM have finally made their comeback with “Go Crazy” and to celebrate, I’m making it my Tune of the Week. (Surprise, surprise!)
The title track to 2PM’s fourth full-length album, “Go Crazy” is a super-catchy, hyperactive dance track which, as we all know, is exactly the type of song 2PM does best. (Think “HANDS UP” on speed.) Written and produced by Jun.K, “Go Crazy” is one of two tracks, on the upcoming album, penned by the vocalist but he’s not the only member who had a hand in creating Go Crazy; Chansung and Taecyeon both put pen to paper to for this album, co-writing lyrics for several of the tracks.
While “Go Crazy” isn’t the world’s deepest, most thought-provoking song, it is fun and let’s be honest, we could all use a little more fun in our lives. (Am I wrong?) I’m not sure anyone can listen to “Go Crazy” without fighting off the urge to get up and dance and I say, “Why fight it at all?” The song is certainly dance worthy and the boys of 2PM look like they’re having so much fun during the video that it’s nearly impossible to not wish you could jump through your computer screen and join them. (Or maybe that’s just me…)
Though now that I think about it, if jumping through my computer screen means being magically forced into an outfit as awful as Nickhun’s I might have to change my mind. Poor boy! He must have lost the toss or something because that outfit is horrendous, though to be fair, none of the boy’s outfits are all that spectacular. Poor Taecyeon and Wooyoung look like they’re wearing bedazzled grandpa track suits while Chansung looks like he stole his pants from VIXX’s “G.R.8.U.” wardrobe. Still, you have to give the boys props for making the best with what they were given *high-five guys!* but someone really needs to have a word with their stylist!
You know a song’s good when the only thing you have to gripe about is the wardrobe for the music video and “Go Crazy” is really that good. If you haven’t watched the video yet, why are you still here??? Go watch it! Now! Then come back and tell me what you think of the song (and the outfits) and then tell me whether you’re as excited for the release of the album as I am. If you ask me, September 15 can’t come soon enough!
