I know I usually talk about all the latest K-Pop comebacks and upcoming dramas on Tuesdays but today I woke up to G-Dragon’s world tour announcement and I’m just so freaking excited, I can barely think about anything else! With concerts on the brain, I thought it only fitting to take a look at all of the upcoming concerts K-Pop fans here in the U.S. have to look forward to in the coming months.
As I already said, GD has announced he’ll be holding a solo tour this summer and CHICAGO IS ONE OF THE STOPS!!! (No, I’m not excited. Not. At. All.) The G-Dragon 2017 World Tour <ACT III, M.O.T.T.E.> Moment of Truth The End will hit 19 cities over the course of 3 months and OH MY GRACIOUS! I just can’t stop squealing! Here in the U.S., GD will make stops in Seattle, San Jose, LA, Houston, Chicago, Miami and New York throughout the month of July. I don’t know when tickets will be available but as soon as I find out, I’ll let you know!
Also coming to the U.S. very soon is K.A.R.D.’s “Wild Kard 2017 The 1st Tour in America.” This rookie quartet will be making stops in LA (May 10), Houston (May 7) and here in Chicago on May 5th (which is next Friday… HOLY FLIPPING COW!) and tickets are still available for all 3 stops. If you’re not familiar with this rookie group yet, this would be a great time to get to know them and have a whole lot of fun, all at the same time! Also, if you’re going to be at the Chicago show, be sure to keep an eye out of the overly excited Zombie. I’d love to say hi to you in person!
Another show I’m looking forward to this summer is M.FECT’s ShowKase Tour which will be held here in Chicago on June 16. This show is super exciting because the tickets are so freaking inexpensive, I may actually be able to take my daughter to a K-Pop show and not have to sell my spleen to be able to afford tickets! I know the V.I.P tickets for most of the shows have been sold out but there are still plenty of GA tickets available and at $29 a pop, there’s no reason anyone should have to miss out on an evening of unbelievable cuteness!
I know I should probably say something about KCON while I’m writing this but I already post so much about it, it feels a bit redundant to say anything more here. Also, I’m about 2 seconds from running out to the door (Miyavi has called and I must answer) so I’m gonna wrap this up here by asking which upcoming concert has you most excited? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
