#TBT: TVXQ! “Mirotic”

mirotic-2

You know, there’s a lot of ugly in the world right now and sometimes it can get a little overwhelming. I wish I could say I had answers and solutions and all sorts of brilliance that could suddenly fix all of the world’s problems. But I don’t. Instead, I have an insatiable love of all things Hallyu which, granted, doesn’t necessarily make the world a better place but it makes my world a better place by providing me with all sorts of beautiful and wonderful distractions which help me forget just how messed up life really is.

mirotic-4On that note, I’ve decided to take a little time every week to indulge in those distractions. Obviously, by the title of this new segment, I’m going to be focusing on things that may have faded from the spotlight over time but are still very much worth mentioning, even if it’s only for a moment of nostalgic squeeing. That being said, I’ve chosen “Mirotic” as my first, mostly because this song has been stuck in my head for days and as such, I can’t really focus on anything else.

Not that that’s a bad thing!

On the contrary, there are far worse things to have stuck in my head than this…

Ahhh! Those were the days, weren’t they? Back when TVXQ! was a 5 member group, breakin’ all the rules with their sexy, “detrimental to youths” lyrics and their 19+ performances… Before the days of lawsuits and ugliness and all the other nonsense that has broken our poor fangirl hearts… Yes… Those were the days… The good old days… *sigh* It’s funny how things can change in 7 years, isn’t it? Not that change is a bad thing! I mean if we didn’t have change we would have never been blessed with this bit of beautiful perfection…

Oh bless change and Monsta X too! Not only did they manage to stop my heart with this performance, they also provided us with a perfect reminded of just how amazing this song is. As if we could ever really forget…
