With the first two introductory episodes out of the way, it’s time to dig into the meat of this story and I have to say, I’m pleased with the way things are shaping up. Our undefined geometrical love shape is slowly morphing into a more clearly defined shape as the roles our main characters are going to take are also becoming more clearly defined. Though it’s still too early to make any safe assumptions, it’s not too early to enjoy the wit and humor of this quirky and rather enjoyable drama. ZOMBIE’S DRAMA REVIEW: Producer Episodes 1-2
After what feels like an eternity of waiting for the star-studded new drama, Producer, to air, I was both excited and a little nervous to start watching this one. I have a tendency to set my hopes a little too high for some dramas but I’m happy to say, my expectations for this one have, at least in these first two episodes, have been met with a reasonable amount of satisfaction. It’s far too early to declare this the best drama ever but it certainly holds the potential to be something great and I’m really looking forward to seeing where this one goes. FROM B1A4 TO VIXX: KCON 2014 in Pictures, Part 2 – Saturday Night’s Concert
I know I wasn’t the closest you could get but here’s my pictures from Saturday night’s concert, just the same. If nothing else, at least you’ll get a glimpse of what it was like to see so many amazing artists in the same night. It was a fangirl’s dream come true! FROM CHICAGO TO KCON: ZOMBIE’S ADVENTURES IN L.A. – DAY 4
Saturday. D-Day. KCON Day 1. Whatever you want to call it, I woke up the next morning with a stomach full of butterflies, more nervous than I had ever been before in my entire life. Looking back, I’m not even sure why I was such a nervous wreck but I was. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I had psyched myself out so much over KCON that I was afraid I was going to be disappointed at the end of it all. (Thank goodness I was totally wrong on that score!) Too nervous to eat, drink, or do pretty much anything else, I got up, donned my VIXX G.R.8.U. cosplay costume (with all the checkers) and spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out what to do with my hair. (Which ended up being not much because my hands were too shaky to handle anything but the most basic tasks.) At least I wasn’t alone in my suffering, Tanya was every bit as jittery as I was and we were in such an awful state that we rushed out of the hotel without grabbing breakfast or (gasp!) even coffee. (A mistake we would come to regret all. day. long.) Continue reading “FROM CHICAGO TO KCON: ZOMBIE’S ADVENTURES IN L.A. – DAY 4”

FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: Pretty Man
With all of the posts Hallyu Tanya and I have done this week to commemorate the end of Pretty Man, it only makes sense that this week’s drama would be none other.
HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Pretty Man Finale: Our Tribute to Dae Shik
Zombie: Being fans of U-KISS (and more specifically, Hoon) it just wouldn’t be right if we ended our review of Pretty Man without doing a little tribute to our favorite little brother, Dae Shik.
Tanya: He’s just adorable… In real life and in character, that is. I appreciate the comic relief he brought to the show through Dae Shik, but also the more serious family moments he helped bring forward. Although he and Bo Tong usually fought, you could tell the love was there. Bo Tong always had her little brother to depend on.

HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Pretty Man Finale: A Tribute to Ma Te’s Hair
Zombie: So as most of you know, Tanya and I have had a thing for Ma Te’s hair from the very beginning of Pretty Man. We predicted from the get-go that Ma Te’s hair would change with each woman he set out to conquer and wouldn’t you know it, we were right! We both agreed that if Ma Te’s hair changed with each woman, we’d have to do a tribute to Ma Te’s hair in all of it’s varied gloried at the end of the show. Being women of our word we’d like to present to you, without further ado, our homage to Pretty Man Ma Te’s hair. Enjoy!
