This week was our last two episodes of Bride of the Century. While it is hard to say goodbye to some well-loved characters, we were at least provided some sort of conclusion to all of our on-going story lines… Continue reading “Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 15-16 (1/2)”
HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 20-21 (2/4)
Well, as they say “all good things must come to and end.” That’s now the case for Emergency Couple as its last two episodes aired, but I am left feeling content overall. The struggle of these characters over the past 11 weeks didn’t necessarily make sense at first, but once you look past the minor details you can definitely enjoy the storyline. Let’s jump into the last two episodes. Continue reading “HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 20-21 (2/4)”

Tanya: I think that we have come to the conclusion that this week’s episodes have been the best of the series so far. And about time because we only have one week left!
Karen: As I mentioned in my review, this week’s episodes had the perfect mix of emergency room drama and love drama. It also didn’t hurt that there weren’t too many negative things going on as well. I’m just waiting for that happy ending next week. Continue reading “Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (3/3)”
Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 11-12 (1/2)
Welcome to another week of Bride of the Century! I spent 2 hours yelling at my screen over the stupidity and just ridiculousness I’ve seen with some of the characters and their actions. My mind is all over the place, but it’s mostly been anger so this will feel like a rant instead. I will extend my apologies ahead of time. Slowly, progress is being made in Emergency Couple as we are winding down to our last two weeks. I am glad that Jin Hee finally got a clue that she hasn’t completely moved away from Chang Min even after all of these years. I don’t understand why it took her seeing her old wedding ring to suddenly bring these feelings back, but I guess something had to be the trigger. While we are talking about feelings here, I understand Chang Min has come to an a good place, the girl you have been chasing after says she likes you. Stop pushing her away! You may want to think that you are doing the right thing, but you are also making it harder on yourself.

Doo Rim and Kang Ju were in the middle of the worst break up at the beginning of this week’s episodes. Doo Rim is still determined to be with Kang Ju, but he doesn’t want to lose her and resists at every turn. Doo Rim ends up going to Yi Kyung’s mother, Ma Jae Ran, asking that if she can change Kang Ju’s mind about marriage can she be the one to actually stay with Kang Ju. The deal is struck as both sides agree. Continue reading “Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 9-10 (1/2)”

Tanya: The big hitter this week was the passing of Chang Min’s father, of course. What do you think about how he and his mother handled all of that? I was actually impressed with his mom for not attacking Jin Hee and showing some sort of respect when she and her mother came to the wake.
Karen: I think Chang Min’s family was put in a tough situation. I’m surprised at how well they tried to cope with the terrible news. One thing that I couldn’t understand was why they kept pushing Oh Jin Hee out of their lives at this point. She offered them support, but they didn’t seem to appreciate that because of their past relationships.

This week’s Emergency Couple was all about personal struggle. The biggest shock of all was the passing of Tae Suk, Chang Min’s father. After silently battling his illness, he finally succumbed to complications.

While there was some annoyance and some feels, I think the only thing I can really say about this week’s episodes is “FINALLY!” I am so excited so many things happened and they can all be summed up with that one exclamation, so let’s jump to it!
