I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I experienced one of the most exciting, nerve-wracking and incredible experiences of my life as Teen Top took to the stage of the Copernicus Center in Chicago and I fell over dead. Okay, not all the way dead. Just mostly dead. Dead-ish, if you will. And well, I may never be the same again. (Though maybe that’s a good thing…) Continue reading “Rocking Chicago: A Crazy Zombie’s Recap of Teen Top’s Red Point Stop in the Windy City”
EXO in Chicago: A Zombie’s Recap of the Day She Died
I have an ever-growing bucket list designated just for K-Pop which really, is more like a wish list of groups I want to see in person before I die, and on that list EXO has ranked high for a very, very long time. So when it was announced all those months ago, that one of the stops EXO would be making during their North American tour was Chicago, well, I very nearly dropped dead right then and there. However, I somehow managed to keep myself together long enough to buy a ticket (which also nearly killed me) and endure the endless countdown of days that ultimately brought me to D-Day. Concert Day. Better known as the day the zombie and about 4,000 other fans lost their hearts to the eight adorable members of EXO that fateful Friday night. RELEASE THE FANGIRL: Today’s The Day!!!
After months and months of impatiently waiting, the day to make one of my biggest fangirl dreams come true is FINALLY HERE!!!
Today I’m headed to the city to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in 14 years and see my very favorite Japanese rock band, One OK Rock. (I’m also unofficially celebrating my birthday, which was actually at the beginning of the month but I’m celebrating it now by going to the concert and indulging in a mini-shopping spree at the K-Pop Store in Chinatown. ㅋㅋㅋ) Talk about an awesome way to spend the day!
OH MY GOSH! AM I ACTUALLY GOING TO SEE OOR LIVE!?!
(I still can’t believe it!)
QUICK! SOMEONE PINCH ME!!!
I’m so flipping excited about this concert I haven’t been able to sleep most of the night (which is why I’m writing this at 5:20 in the morning). I’ll probably be the full embodiment of a zombie by the time the concert rolls around but hey, that’s what coffee is for, right?
If you’re one of the lucky ones headed to Chicago’s House of Blues this evening and you see a zombified fangirl walking around with super short, dark, spiky hair and glasses (yes, I chopped off all my pink hair *sobs*) be sure to stop me and say hi! I always love meeting new people and making new friends! If I don’t see you at the concert, you can always come back here (or find me on SNS) and we can squee over the concert together! (If you didn’t know already, I’m very good at squeeing!)
WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 5
As I said in my last post, I slept in until 7:30 Sunday morning and Oh! You have no idea how good it felt! After an evening of such intense fangirling, I was exhausted and the little bit of extra sleep was wonderful! Continue reading “WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 5”
WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 4
My adventures on Friday must have worn me out because I actually slept in until 7 Saturday morning! Woohoo! Of course everyone else in my room had the good sense to still be asleep at 7 so I got myself dressed and headed to the hotel lobby to call home and tell the family I was still alive and well. Once I convinced the fam I wasn’t dead, I set out in search of the elusive and much-needed coffee. Continue reading “WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 4”
THE DEATH OF A ZOMBIE FANGIRL: A RECAP OF BTS’ EPISODE II: THE RED BULLET TOUR IN CHICAGO
Friday night, BTS took the stage of Chicago’s Rosemont Theater by storm, the third of four stops in the North American leg of their Episode II: The Red Bullet Tour and I was there to witness it all, a dying zombie in a sea of euphoric ARMYs. A CITY, A CONCERT AND A ZOMBIE
Hey there everyone! I know I don’t have any of my regular Friday posts up this week and for that I’m sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I’m still here, I’m just slightly busy at the moment… Something about BTS being in my city… and a concert… and… Yeah. For those of you who may be headed to TRB tonight in Chicago, I hope you get all the winks and smiles and body rolls and fan-service you could every hope to have. I hope the amazing talent of BTS leaves you in awe and if you happen to shed a few tears of joy, know that you’re not alone. (Yes, sometimes even zombies cry when they’re happy.) If you’re at the concert tonight and you happen to see someone walking around with bright pink hair and glasses, looking so insanely happy she might actually explode, that would probably be me. I’d be more than happy if you stopped me for a second to say hi or squee over a bias or two… or three or four or seven… I’m always a fan of meeting new people and making new friends! Hope to see you there!
ONE OK ROCK IS COMING TO CHICAGO!
Last week, while taking my daily stroll through the Twitter-verse, I happened upon a Tweet from one of my favorite venues here in Chicago, The House of Blues, which very nearly knocked me out of my chair and this is what it said… Continue reading “ONE OK ROCK IS COMING TO CHICAGO!”
AN EPIK EVENING: Concert Photos of Epik High in Chicago
As is usually the case when I shoot a concert, I have far more pictures than I need and since I think it’s such a shame to have pics just sitting in a folder on my computer, not being used, I decided to put some of them here with the hopes that you’ll enjoy them just as much as I. So feel free to do just that. Save ’em, share ’em, do what makes you happy. It’s all good.
AN EPIC EVENING WITH EPIK HIGH
Thursday night Epik High took the stage in the heart of Chicago, the sixth of eleven concerts scheduled for their North American tour, and I was lucky enough to be one of the many who flocked to the House of Blues for this evening of epic awesome. Continue reading “AN EPIC EVENING WITH EPIK HIGH”
