Sunshine On A Cloudy Day

seventeen

As I sit down to write today, I have to admit that my heart is almost too heavy to do so. Having spent the entirety of this week watching people around me display the very worst of themselves. My heart has broken and my stomach has turned so often that I’ve almost given up all hope in humanity as a whole. But even in the midst of all this darkness, I’ve been able to find little rays of sunshine which have served to remind me that even when things are bad, and you feel like giving up, there is still goodness in the world, there are things that can still bring joy and that, in itself, is enough to give me hope.

While I know hiding from the world and ignoring its problems doesn’t solve anything, I also know that sometimes you just need to ignore the ugly for a while, in an effort to recharge, so that when you go back out into the world, you have the strength to deal with whatever might come your way. With that in mind, I’ve put together a little playlist, full of a bunch of songs that, for whatever reason, just make me happy. I hope that sharing this will help bring a little sunshine to your cloudy days.

I hope this playlist of mine has brought a little sunshine to your day. If it has, it’d love to hear about it. I’d also love to know which songs you’d add to this list. What songs never fail to warm your heart and make you smile? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. As much as I LOVE my boy groups, I’ve been on a girl group kick lately . Windy Day by Oh My Girl always makes me smile … and anything by Mamamoo 😊 Breathless by Astro too. 😚

I have you to thank for Astro introduction!

    1. Hahaha! I’m happy I get the credit for bringing ASTRO into your world. They’re my sunshine! Girl groups are great for bringing sunshine on a cloudy day. I’m glad you mentioned them. Definitely anything my Mamamoo is great! I love them so much! I feel like I need to go back and add more songs to this playlist now. Thanks for the tips! 🙂
