It’s no secret that I am a devout Starlight. I’ve spazzed enough on this blog to make it perfectly clear that, as much as I love all K-Pop bands (and I really do love them all, to one degree or another), VIXX holds a special place in my heart. They are an infinite source of inspiration and motivation for me, as I drag myself through the mundane of my every day and above all, they are the sunshine that brightens my occasionally dreary world. In short, they make my heart happy but not always…
Earlier this year, VIXX announced they would be ending their weekly broadcast of VIXX TV and the news was devastating to this fangirl. As I watched the 100th episode of VIXX TV, I felt my heart break, my soul shrivel and when it ended, a little piece of me died. I was that sad. I had become so accustomed to my weekly dose of VIXX, I felt that without it, my world might actually end. Obviously it didn’t, but it sure felt like it would.
Since the end of VIXX TV, the boys have brought us quite a few surprises, including their comeback (which, as you all know, was absolutely fantastic), a trip to L.A. for KCON 2014 (which I still haven’t recovered from) and a world tour (that has yet to make its way to the U.S., much to my dismay). On top of all that, we’ve been given a few videos here and there (including that hilariously fantastic gem of a video they released last week, which I’m still not over… Leo and the cow… I can’t even…), been able to watch various members on different variety shows, seen N and Hyuk take up a side-project with Big Byung and of course, we have all of our boys’ dramas to watch but as fantastic as all of that has been, the void left by the end of VIXX TV has never been filled.
Until now…
This morning Rovix delighted Starlights the world over when he released this…
It seems all of our prayers for a new edition of VIXX TV have been answered and Starlights the world-over are rejoicing. Well, I guess I can’t speak for every Starlight on the face of the planet, but I can speak for myself and believe me, when I say I’m excited, I mean I’m so flipping excited I want to yell it from the top of the Willis Tower, paint in on the side of every bus in the Chicago-land area, paint it across the grass at Soldier Field, hire a plane to write it across the sky, post it on every billboard from here to Tallahassee… “VIXX TV IS BACK!” I’m sure this level of excitement paints me as a crazy fangirl but I don’t care, VIXX TV is coming back to me and that little piece of my soul that died has suddenly been revived. Oh happy day!
