That’s right all my fellow Midwestern K-Pop lovers! GOT7 is coming to Chicago next month and OH MY GIDDY FLIPPING AUNT, I’M SO EXCITED I THINK I MAY ACTUALLY EXPLODE!
I suppose to be fair I should point out that Jazzy Group is bringing the beloved boys of GOT7 to the U.S. for a three stop fan-meeting that begins at the Warfield in San Francisco on May 6 and ends at the Verizon Theater in Dallas on May 10, but I can’t go to those so I can’t squee over those stops like I can the one here in Chicago, at the Riviera, on May 8. (Though something tells me those of you going to see GOT7 in San Francisco and Dallas can squee just fine all on your own…)
For me, this fan-meeting is a literal dream come true. There were only two bands I really, really, really, wanted more than anything in the whole wide world to see this year and GOT7 was one of them. The amount of excitement and elation I’m feeling right now is pretty much indescribable. After all, it’s not every day you get a K-Pop wish to come true! I’d be shouting my joy from the rooftop if I wasn’t afraid the neighbors would call the cops on me… As it is, I’ll just squee here as the neighbors won’t think I’m crazy and I’m way less likely to fall and break my neck.
If any of you are going to the Chicago fan-meeting and you see an overly excited, pink-haired zombie walking around, don’t be afraid to come over and say hi. I always love meeting fellow K-Pop lovers and I’m more than happy to spend those long hours in line sqeeing over our favorite members of GOT7. Hey, we’ve got to find some way to keep ourselves entertained while we wait, right? If you’re going to any of the other fan meetings, I’d love to hear all about them so be sure to come back here and tell me all about it! I’m just as happy to squee with my fellow IGOT7s here as I am in person. (Yeah, I know. I’m sure some of you are asking if there’s ever a time when I’m not happy to squee… What can I say? K-Pop makes me happy!)
You can bet your boots that I’ll be sharing all of my GOT7 adventures here so for those of you who can’t make it to any of the fan meetings, at least you won’t have to feel like you’re missing out. Of course if Yugyeom flashes me one of his lethal smiles at any time during the evening or JB even looks at me, I may not survive but I’ll do my best. Until then I’m gonna have to find a way to contain my excitement so I don’t drive my friends and family completely bonkers. Hmmm… Maybe I’ll go watch Dream Knight again… Or those dance practice videos… (Oh my gosh! I just realized I’m gonna get to see those little wiggles in person! AUGH!) *swoon* Yeah… I may not survive this fan-meeting but OH! What a way to go! ㅋㅋㅋ Hope to see you there!
I can only afford to see one group this year, so I’m skipping this one for BTS in the summer, but I’m so sad to miss it! I hope you have fun! Take lots of pictures!
I can totally understand being able to only pick one concert as they’re never cheap. I’m sorry you’ll miss this one but I’ll definitely take lots of pictures and I’ll be sure to post them so everyone can enjoy! ^^
I’m so disappointed that NYC isn’t one of their stops!
I know that feeling all too well. I feel it every time a concert is announced that doesn’t stop in Chicago. My heart broke when I couldn’t seen CNBLUE last year and F.T. Island this year. It stinks when a band you love isn’t visiting your city!
