Okay, bear with me here. I’m running a week behind thanks to spring break but I’m doing my best to catch up which is why, without any further ado, I’m ready to squee over the first KCON NY and LA lineup announcements of the year. Let’s do this!
Last Thursday KCON announced they would be bringing both SEVENTEEN and MAMAMOO to New York in June and I nearly flipped my noodle because I absolutely adore both groups. The very idea of seeing S.Coup and Vernon in person… Oh gosh! I don’t even want to go there! All I can say is, those adorable babies had better stay cute and innocent because if they try any noona killing shenanigans, you’re gonna hear me crying all the way on the other side of the world. And I can’t even think about the possibility of meeting MAMAMOO. It’s just too much. Hwasa is my idol (which sounds kinda funny to say about an idol…). I just love her to pieces and I admire MAMAMOO as a whole so, so much and the fact that I’m going to get to see them is just… I just… AUGH!
As if I didn’t have enough to squeal over already, today, KCON announced the first two groups for the LA lineup and, of course, it just happens to be GFRIEND and BLOCK B! That’s right, BLOCK FRICKIN’ B! Because apparently I haven’t had enough opportunities in my life to die over Zico, I get the chance to do it again. Maybe this time his stinking looks o-death will finally do me in and you’ll no longer have to suffer through my endless spazzing. (One can only hope… hahaha) Of course, if Zico doesn’t kill me, U-Kwon and P.O can have a go at it and if they fail, Jaeho can give it a whirl. I’m pretty sure I won’t survive that long but if I do, B-Bomb and Taeil can try to finish me off and if they fail, well, Kyung’s smiles are sure to stop my heart. So basically, when I fly to LA this July, I’m flying to my death. But hey, at least I’ll die happy!
For those of you who might be interested in meeting this crazy zombie (because, yes, I’ll be at both this year) or, you know, seeing all these incredible groups perform in person, start making your KCON 2016 plans now! KCON NY will be returning to the Prudential Center June 24-25 while KCON LA will be returning to the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center July 29-31. Tickets for KCON NY go on sale May 13 while tickets for KCON LA will be available starting June 3.
Of course, what I really want to know is, will you be going to KCON this year? If you are, which do you plan on attending? If you’re not, is there a group out there that might tempt you to make the trip? Whether you’re going or not, which groups would you like to see this year either at KCON or just at a concert? Let me know in the comments below!
