Zombie: So can we just start out by saying I’m pretty sure David is the secret son of Na Hong Ran that Yu Ra is so curious about.
Tanya: I also had that feeling and I was certain things were complicated enough. Apparently I was wrong… Welcome to DramaLand everyone.
Zombie: Ugh! I don’t even want to think about how much more complicated things are going to get between now and then end. I am hoping Kim In Joong disappears sometime soon. She’s a whole lot more evil than I had anticipated, which is kind of a letdown since she seemed pretty cool last week.
Tanya: I have a bad feeling she’s going to be a constant problem until the end of the series because of her network of people. She’s probably going to keep going after Ma Te until the very end.
Zombie: Well, I did say he needed to suffer a little for his actions. I guess sometimes you really do get what you ask for. *thanks for nothing drama gods…*
Tanya: What was with the crazy inventions?! I seriously wanted to vomit BEFORE he started talking about things floating in the broth, but the actual comment made it so much worse. Are Bo Tong and David really that far out of touch with the world?
Zombie: I think, on some points at least, they really are. This is definitely one of those points…recycled side dishes? Eating out of a sink? Really? There’s a line between creative and just messed up and those two went well beyond…
Tanya: Yeah, I don’t even know what to say. I’m just at a loss. Old cell phones? Really?! I have enough of those around my house I certainly don’t need to buy any.
Zombie: Don’t we all? At least they’re a cute couple in all of their madness…I was a little shocked and a little happy when David finally had enough of Bo Tong’s ridiculous crush and grabbed the phone out of her hand and stopped her from confessing to Ma Te on the radio. I’m dying to find out what he says after that…stinking cliffhangers!
Tanya: Cute, yes. Odd, probably more than we were expecting, but that’s also why I like this drama. I liked Bo Tong actually trying to get Ma Te’s attention and the fact that Duk Saeng was willing to try to help her! I didn’t think he would… he seems a little shallow.
Zombie: I would almost say he was doing it just for the fun of it, to make things difficult for Ma Te but really, it doesn’t seem like it. He comes across as genuinely wanting to help Bo Tong and if that’s the case, I think I’m really going to like him. Maybe he’s not as useless as we all thought he was.
Tanya: With that, we were also introduced to Woman #4, Myo Mi, who I am a fan of. I’m not really certain what Ma Te is supposed to learn from her though. It hasn’t really been made clear yet. I’m hoping it may actually be bravery or how to be humble… He needs a slice of that pie.
Zombie: That would be a nice treat! How to escape Kim In Joong’s web would be a nice lesson too but I don’t think that’s really it. Maybe how to own up to your past mistakes? How to be honest? Any of these would be nice…but maybe it’s going to be about the importance of timing…
Tanya: I’m in love with her style though. They finally did right by a character! Sadly she had to be a “world star” for them to figure it out.
Zombie: Because all of us “normal” people just can’t have a look that pulled together!
Tanya: Or we’re rocking mom jeans. Ahjumma jeans? Would that be the drama equivalent?
Zombie: Works for me! Oh! So it’s no secret I love all of Ma Te’s jealous moments which means when he called the police on the party at David’s house just because he’s jealous he wasn’t there…I was dying!
Tanya: Here goes Tanya’s crazy-about-Hoon moment… When they find that giant picture of Ma Te in Bo Tong’s room. He talks about David having class because he goes “Glamping”. Hilarious. And totally facepalm worthy.
Zombie: I seriously love every scene he’s in…he’s just so funny!
So what is it you’re loving about Pretty Man? Are we the only two that think Hoon is just adorably hilarious? How about David? Do you think it’s possible he’s the secret son? Do you think he’ll confess to Bo Tong next week? What lesson do you think Ma Te is going to have to learn from Myo Mi? We’re half way through this drama, do you think we’re actually going to be able to get through all ten women before the end? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below!
