This week, I threw all logic and sound reasoning out the window as I fell head-over-heels for Chang Min and all of ridiculously adorable feelings for Jin Hee. Chang Min, FIGHTING!
So what was it that made me change my mind about Chang Min? I can’t really say for sure because honestly, I still can’t figure out why any of his feelings for Jin Hee make sense (other than he’s just never really been over her) but I think a lot of it has to do with the look on his face right here…
There’s such a look of hurt and confusion in Chang Min’s eyes here… It’s like he’s pleading Jin Hee with his eyes to understand that the reason he’s acting like a crazy jealous madman right now is because he’s as madly in love with her now, as he was six years ago. I think that what’s even better than the return of his feelings, is his constant struggle to admit those feelings have returned. Maybe I’m too cruel but I just love watching Chang Min struggling to deny his feelings for Jin Hee, especially now that they’ve completely taken over.
Unfortunately for Chang Min, his little outburst of jealous frustration has opened Jin Hee’s eyes to the fact that she’s obviously falling for Dr. Gook. (How she’s never realized that before now is beyond me but since this is Dramaland we’re talking about, it’s just kind of how it goes…) Now that Jin Hee’s fully aware that she’s fallen for her superior, the question is, what’s she doing to do about it? We all know that eventually she’s going to end up with Chang Min but we’ve got a lot of episodes between now and the end which means there’s plenty of time for her to test the waters with Dr. Gook, before falling back into Chang Min’s arms. So, now I’m left wondering how far Jin Hee is going to let her feelings for Dr. Gook take her. Will she continue to let them run wild, free and unchecked or will she start to reign them in and begin to put up a front between her and the good doctor?
At this point, it’s obvious that Jin Hee is still very leery about getting chummy with Chang Min but they have so much history together, and as Chang Min pointed out, not all of the time they spent together was bad, so it’s only a matter of time before she gives into Chang Min’s advances. Obviously they had some very good times together, as both Chang Min and Jin Hee have been having some pretty happy dreams as of late but are those dreams enough to spark a relationship? I’m not so sure but I can tell you how happy I am to have those dreams finally open the window to Chang Min and Jin Hee’s past and shed some much-needed light on their back-story! It’s about stinking time!
Speaking of back-story, it seems Dr. Gook and Dr. Shim have quite the little love story going on as well and I’ll be the first to admit, I’m happy to find out it’s not nearly as twisted as I’d originally thought it would be. I breathed a sigh of relief when Dr. Shim finally revealed Dr. Gook was not the father of her child because it means one less obstacle they have to overcome before they can reach their “happily ever after.” (And yes, I’m wholeheartedly cheering for them to have a “happily ever after.”) You can totally tell that Dr. Gook still has some rather strong feelings for Dr. Shim and I say, the sooner he gets over his little crush on Jin Hee, the better. I think he’s a much better fit for Dr. Shim than he is for Jin Hee, though, to be honest, I don’t want him to get over Jin Hee too quickly as the jealously between him and Chang Min is too much fun… I’m not ready to give the tension between those two up just yet. (I’m terrible, aren’t I?)
I can tell you the one person I’m never going to cheer for… Ah Reum! This week she solidified her place as the most horribly undeserving person on the face of the planet. Not only did she attack Jin Hee, the moment Jin Hee revealed she knew Ah Reum’s true identity, with her “perfect” English and her snotty superiority but she also broke Yong Kyu’s heart in the most unfeeling way possible. Oh that poor boy! My heart completely broke for him as Ah Reum droned on and on about mistakes and wanting to be friends, without ever noticing the tears welling in Yong Kyu’s eyes. What I wouldn’t have given to be able to step in at that moment to slap Ah Reum and give Yong Kyu a hug. Poor, heartbroken Yong Kyu! I hope he finds someone better than Ah Reum before this drama ends!
How about you? Are you loving the romance we’ve finally started to see develop between Chang Min and Jin Hee? What are your feelings on Dr. Gook and Dr. Shim’s past relationship? Do you think that Dr. Gook will start to care more for Dr. Shim, now that he knows the more painful bits of their time spent apart? How about poor Yong Kyu? Do you think Ah Reum will ever reciprocate his feelings or is he better off falling for someone more deserving of his love? I’d love to know what you think so be sure to leave your comments below!

“I don’t want him to get over Jin Hee too quickly as the jealously between him and Chang Min is too much fun… I’m not ready to give the tension between those two up just yet. (I’m terrible, aren’t I?)” –> Not terrible at all! I have the exact same hope. I’m just not ready to see JH with CM just yet. Would love to see more of Dr. Gook with Jin Hee. Just can’t help it, I totally ship JH and Dr. Gook…
I know exactly what you mean! I’m such a sucker for the second male lead… I can’t help it, I fall for him 98% of the time! I just love Dr. Gook! I really want to see him and Jin Hee together just a little longer. They’re so cute when they’re together, aren’t they?
Totally agree! Somehow I just love Dr. Gook more than Chang Min… sorry Chang Min, you’ll end up with Jin Hee anyways, so just let them have some romantic fun for sometime, okay? Hehehe
Yes please! 🙂
