BTS IN L.A. AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR KCON 2014: Are You Ready?

better group 1

With KCON fast approaching, it’s easy to get caught up in the frenzy of preparations that come with making our exodus to the Hallyu Holy Land, so I’ve decided help all of my fellow KCON-bound chingus by suggesting you take a little time to rest, relax and reflect on the awesomeness that’s about to descend upon us all. To help with your time of reflection, here’s a quick look at everything BTS has been doing in L.A. for the past month and what we have to look forward to when we get there ourselves. (Because we didn’t have enough to look forward to already!)

In case you didn’t already know (or somehow forgot) BTS has been gracing the streets of L.A. with their presence for the past month and though most of us think of a trip to L.A. as a time for fun and sun, the Bangtan Boys have been hard at work honing their skills, learning new ones and training with the likes of Warren G and Coolio.

To show off their new array of talents, BTS decided to hold a surprise concert for 200 lucky fans at the Troubadour which they aptly named “Show and Prove”, as the whole point of this free concert was to show off their skill and prove to everyone that their countless hours of training were well spent. From new styles of dance to beatboxing to their own rendition of “Oh Happy Day”, BTS delighted fans and mentors alike with their new-found skills. New talents aside, fans at the concert were delightfully surprised by how well the boys of BTS spoke English, as it seems their time in the U.S. has helped them improve their English language skills quite a bit.

Part of the time BTS has spent in the U.S. has been to record their new reality show BTS American Hustle Life which premiered on July 24. Though I can’t say anything with any certainty, I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that footage from both the Show and Prove concert and KCON will end up on that show which means that we, as the KCON bound, have even more to look forward to (if that’s even possible).

So, if you weren’t already excited to see BTS at KCON 2014, I hope you are now and for those of you ARMYs out there who have been counting down the days for months, I just have to ask, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!?! 15 days and counting…

SEE YOU THERE!
