BOYFRIEND COMING TO CHICAGO

For American K-Pop fans, the month of January has been a pretty good one, as both U-KISS and CNBLUE have graced our westernukiss 2014 shores with their presence (and more importantly) a handful of concerts. For those lucky enough to live on one coast or another, these concerts have been a fantastic opportunity to support our beloved K-Pop idols in person but for those of us, doomed to live smack dab in the middle of this K-Pop barren country, that chance seems to be nothing more than an impossible dream.

cn blue tour 2014After spending the good portion of my day depressed as pictures of CNBLUE arriving in New York City flooded my Twitter feed, I decided to do a little research and see if my dream of attending a K-Pop concert (without having to sell a kidney to afford it) would ever come true and much to my surprise, I found this…

BOYFRIEND FIRST U.S. SHOWCASE LIVE IN THE USA

That’s right chingus, our chance to see a K-Pop concert without having to fly to one coast or the other, has finally come! Boyfriend will be performing at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois on March 11, 2014 and the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie in Dallas, Texas on March 13, 2o14. I wish I could say tickets were a bit more affordable (they range in price from $90-$230 for the Chicago show) but the fact that they’re performing an hour from my house makes the cost of attending their concert much more affordable than those requiring a cross-country trip. *Woo-hoo!*

2Given the fact that this may very well be the first ever K-Pop concert in Chicago (I’d have to do a little more research to see if it really is), I feel it’s my duty as a K-Popper in America to support Boyfriend and their first U.S. endeavor. So who’s with me? Are there any other K-Pop fans out there willing to show our American K-Pop love to one of the only idol groups willing to visit us here in the Midwest? Even if Boyfriend isn’t your ultimate bias, they’re still worth supporting because who knows, if they sell-out their shows here, who’s to say other K-Pop bands won’t follow? Before you know it, we could be lining up to see BIG BANG! *fingers crossed* Hope to see you in March!
