For some strange reason, every time a K-Pop concert is announced for Chicago, I’m overcome by a strange urge to unleash my crafty side and this time is no exception. I’m not really sure why, but knowing one of my beloved K-Pop bands will soon be wandering the streets of my own city makes me so happy, I just have to express that joy through crafts. (Don’t ask me why, it’s just how my strange, zombie-gnawed brain works.) However, this time , rather than invest a ridiculous amount of time, money and energy on a quilt that I will mostly likely spend the rest of my life agonizing over whether or not a certain idol received said quilt on his birthday… *cough*Himchan*cough* I’ve decided to focus my creative energy on something more for the fans. Though, if you think about it, this little idea of mine would be a great way to show B1A4 just how much their U.S. BANAs love them. Hmmm… I’m beginning to get an idea…
With B1A4’s Road Trip only a month away, I was inspired by a fellow blogger friend of mine to make a bean sprout headband to wear to the concert in October. In one of our conversations, she had mentioned that she and a friend were making headbands for themselves and once I realized just how easy it was to make one, I decided I needed to make one for myself. So I did. Funny thing is, once I shared the results of my little craft project with my friend (and the rest of the world, via social media) within minutes, I had requests for five more.
Now this is where my crazy idea is starting to come into play…
It seems BANAs across the country are as interested in wearing these bean sprout headbands to the four B1A4 concerts scheduled for the U.S. in October, as I am and I’ve been thinking… What if we could get BANAs at all four concerts to show up wearing a bean sprout headband?
I do realize wearing such a headband to a B1A4 concert isn’t a new or creative idea, by any stretch of the imagination, as the idea wasn’t even mine to begin with. (Remember, I was inspired by my friend…) But what if we could get entire venues to fill with bean sprouts? What if at every show in the U.S., B1A4 stepped on-stage to find a sea of adorable bean sprouts smiling at them and cheering for them? Do you think they’d get some sort of idea of just how much we, their U.S. BANAs love them? Wouldn’t this be an easy way to thank them for bringing their Road Trip to us? Or maybe I’m just crazy…
For those BANAs and K-Pop lovers in general, who are interested in showing a little love to B1A4 this way, getting your hands on a bean sprout headband is going to be your mission, should you choose to accept it. As of this moment, I don’t know of any place where you can actually buy a bean sprout headband but I do know that they’re super easy to make. For those of you willing to try your hand at a little craft project, this one shouldn’t take you too long and when you’re done, you’ll have an adorable bean sprout headband of your own. I’m going to put up a separate post on how you can make a headband similar to the one I made and who knows, I may even get crazy enough to add a video!
So my fellow concert attendees, are you interested in showing the boys of B1A4 just how much their U.S. fans love them? Then let’s all put on our crafty caps and get a little creative! They’ll be here in a month so let’s get to it! FIGHTING!
