Getting to Know You: KCON 2017 Special Guest Joan Vos MacDonald

As I’m sure you all know, KCON 2017 NY (presented by Toyota) is only a few days away and I’m so flipping excited, I’m finding it a little difficult to calm myself down enough to focus on the tasks at hand. (Which is bad because there are A LOT of things I still need to get done before I head East.) Still, with KCON so close at hand, it thought it might be fun to take a little time to shine the spotlight on some of this year’s special guests. There are so many amazing people who come together to make KCON as awesome as it is which is why I thought it only fitting to introduce a few of them to you. After all, these are the people who work tirelessly, all year long, bringing you all sorts of Hallyu-related content. It seems only right to take a moment to get to know a little about them and maybe glean some KCON-related wisdom from them as well. VIXX Joins KCON 2017 LA Line-Up

Last night, KCON USA presented by Toyota, the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival, announced the addition of VIXX to its star-studded two-day concert lineup. And yes, I’m still squealing my head off! Seriously, I feel like I’ve won the fangirl lottery or something! I mean how can one fangirl be lucky enough to get so many of her favorite artists all performing at one place!?! It just doesn’t seem real! Quick! Someone pinch me! Shhh! Quiet! Do you hear it? Listen very carefully. It may be difficult for you to hear at first but if you close your eyes and concentrate, you’ll hear it. Can you hear it now? That high-pitched squeal of utter fangirl delight??? Yeah… That’s me… Squealing myself silly as my wildly dancing fangirl heart tries to twirl itself right out of my chest. Yup! It’s official. I’m so insanely excited for KCON 2017 LA that I might actually have a heart-attack and die before I get there!  Continue reading “ASTRO and NCT 127 Join KCON 2017 LA Line-up”

ASTRO’s Back With “Baby” And I Can’t Stop Smiling!

I know it’s a holiday weekend, here in the States, so writing this puts me in danger of getting griped at by certain family members but sometimes you just gotta let the fangirl out regardless and this is certainly one of those times! I mean it’s not every day you get a new ASTRO MV so full of cuteness and sunshine you feel like all of life’s problems have simply melted away! I couldn’t help but squeal just a little! Continue reading “ASTRO’s Back With “Baby” And I Can’t Stop Smiling!”

Tuesday’s Tease (on a Wednesday): iKON, ASTRO and One Very Dead Zombie

I know I’m a day late with this week’s “Tease” (Blame it on a super-ridiculously-busy week and a sudden urge to completely transform my backyard…) but I’m hoping I’ll be able to make things up to you with some pretty darn amazing teasers. (Well, I think they’re amazing anyway so I’m hoping you do too.) *fingers crossed* Continue reading “Tuesday’s Tease (on a Wednesday): iKON, ASTRO and One Very Dead Zombie”

The Creators of “Good Face” Talk Inspiration, Motivation and Making Dreams Come True

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about a new series I’d recently found on New Form’s YouTube channel. The series, entitled Good Face, had a very definite K-drama vibe to it, which hooked me right away, and then Sean Dulake showed up and well… That was it. My fate was sealed. Funny thing is, not long after the pilot episode of Good Face aired, I had a chance to chat with the incredible ladies behind this rather addictive new series, Lina Suh (co-writer, director) and Helen Krieger (co-writer). Together we talked about inspiration, motivation and what it takes to make dreams come true. Continue reading “The Creators of “Good Face” Talk Inspiration, Motivation and Making Dreams Come True”
