HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Doctor Stranger Episodes 19-20 (1/2)

cute hoon

I can’t believe the end of my beloved Doctor Stranger is finally upon us but it is so here I sit, with tears streaming down my cheeks, trying to figure out if I’m sad because this drama is actually over or if it’s because absolutely nothing that I predicted for the end came to pass. Maybe it’s a combination of the two? Since I can’t really decide, I’ll just dig into these two episodes and try to find the source of my sorrow. Care to join me? TUNE OF THE WEEK: C-Clown “Let’s Love”

group 1

It feels like I’ve been waiting just about forever for C-Clown to make their comeback and this week they did, in a big way, with their incredibly amazing new track, “Let’s Love”.

group 3

A fantastic mix of hip-hop and dance, with a touch of rock thrown in for good measure, “Let’s Love” makes you rethink your entire definition of what a good love song should be. You’ll find no happy-sappy, sugary sweet ballads here, just the simple confession of a boy (or boys, as the case may be) proclaiming, quite boldly, that he’s “Mr. Right” and all the other guys in the world are hosers. (Okay, so that’s my paraphrase but it’s essentially what the song’s about.) Produced by Shinsadong Tiger (known for his work with 4Minut, BEAST, Trouble Maker, T-ara, Ailee and Apink, to name a few), Caesar & Loui and Andreas Oberg, “Let’s Love” is the title track of C-Clown’s newest mini-album.

group 5

I think what I like the most about C-Clown’s “Let’s Love” aside from sound itself, is how the band is portrayed in the music video. They come across as tough, bad boys but the lyrics reveal they have a soft spot for the girl they like which makes them absolutely irresistible. I mean, let’s be honest, is there a girl in the world who doesn’t dream of being the love interest of a bad boy? (Or maybe that’s just me… I do have a thing for bad boys, you know.)

group 2

Whether you like bad boys or not, if you’re a fan of C-Clown, K-Pop, hip-hop or just good music, you ought to give “Let’s Love” a listen and you should most definitely check out the video because it’s quite the visual treat (especially if you’re a fan of Rome… Just sayin’). Of course once you’ve given “Let’s Love” a listen, be sure to let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below!

HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Doctor Stranger Episodes 17-18 (2/2)

your love is a lie

Tanya: So… can we all hop on this “just go away Jae Hee” train that I’ve been on for weeks? I’ll stop and pick up passengers at any time.

Zombie: I am so on that train with you! I’ve been wishing for her disappearance (or demise) for weeks and weeks now so anytime the writers want to make that happen, I’m good! Continue reading “HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Doctor Stranger Episodes 17-18 (2/2)”

ZOMBIE’S T-DRAMA REVIEW: Fall In Love With Me Episode 13

temptation

This week’s episode of Fall in Love With Me has me feeling so frustrated it’s taking every ounce of self-control I have not to chuck my computer across the room. Seriously! I’m so annoyed right now and the only thing I can do is vent my frustration to the world so here I go… Continue reading “ZOMBIE’S T-DRAMA REVIEW: Fall In Love With Me Episode 13”

FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: To The Beautiful You

title

This week’s featured drama is another lighthearted, romantic comedy full of cuteness, fluff and cross-dressing female leads and while it may not be the world’s most profound drama, To The Beautiful You is still a fun and entertaining drama, perfect for those lazy summer days when we have nothing more to do than watch hours upon hours of adorableness. (That is the point of summer, isn’t it?) Continue reading “FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: To The Beautiful You”

Zombie: So we’re two weeks from the end and things are just as crazy as ever. I’m really having a hard time seeing how things are going to be wrapped up nicely in just four episodes and things HAVE TO BE wrapped up nicely because if this drama doesn’t wrap up nicely, there will be some tables flipped.

Tanya: There are some times that I just can’t even…. and this is one of them. I have no solid ideas as to where we are actually going right now. Continue reading “HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Doctor Stranger Episodes 15-16 (2/2)”
