Once again I found myself awake and some ungodly hour but rather than spend the next couple of hours drooling over the pretty posters I was surrounded by, I decided it’d be better for me to just get up and get ready for the day. Knowing I was going to be speaking in front of who knows how many people in a matter of hours, I spent a rather embarrassing amount of time trying to pull a miraculously fabulous outfit out of my suitcase. I failed on the fabulous but I did managed to put something together that met with the approval of my “stylists.” (Aka my group of Chicago friends who remind me, on an almost daily basis, that I’m not nearly as hideous as I believe I am… Oh, what would I do without them?) With an outfit agreed upon I got myself put together in a reasonable amount of time, as did everyone else in the house, and before I knew it, we were off! Headed for downtown L.A. and the first official day of KCON. Woohoo! Continue reading “WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 3”
WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 2
The worst part of being in California is running on Central Time the entire time I was there. Waking up to find it isn’t even 06:00 yet is rather depressing but I expected as much; I did the same thing the last time I was in LA, I just didn’t go strolling along the beach this time… *sigh* Continue reading “WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN LA – DAY 2”
WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN L.A. – DAY 1
It’s hard to believe a week ago I was surrounded by tens of thousands of Hallyu loving fans from around the world, all gathered together to celebrate one epic weekend of awesome, but I was. (Talk about having your mind blown!) In an effort to keep this most epic of weekends from being lost in the depths of my decaying zombie brain, I’m sitting here, ready to document my adventures. I’m not sure how well I’m gonna survive this (the feelings are still a bit intense) but I’ll do my best. Are we ready for this? Then let’s go! Continue reading “WHEN KCON CALLS THE ZOMBIE ANSWERS: MY ADVENTURES IN L.A. – DAY 1”
KCON HERE I COME!
Well my friends, I don’t know how it happened but the time to make my annual cross-country trek to Los Angeles is finally here and I’ve gotta tell you, I’m pretty darn excited! Continue reading “KCON HERE I COME!”
THE DEATH OF A ZOMBIE FANGIRL: A RECAP OF BTS’ EPISODE II: THE RED BULLET TOUR IN CHICAGO
Friday night, BTS took the stage of Chicago’s Rosemont Theater by storm, the third of four stops in the North American leg of their Episode II: The Red Bullet Tour and I was there to witness it all, a dying zombie in a sea of euphoric ARMYs. Continue reading “THE DEATH OF A ZOMBIE FANGIRL: A RECAP OF BTS’ EPISODE II: THE RED BULLET TOUR IN CHICAGO”
A CITY, A CONCERT AND A ZOMBIE
Hey there everyone! I know I don’t have any of my regular Friday posts up this week and for that I’m sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I’m still here, I’m just slightly busy at the moment… Something about BTS being in my city… and a concert… and… Yeah. For those of you who may be headed to TRB tonight in Chicago, I hope you get all the winks and smiles and body rolls and fan-service you could every hope to have. I hope the amazing talent of BTS leaves you in awe and if you happen to shed a few tears of joy, know that you’re not alone. (Yes, sometimes even zombies cry when they’re happy.) If you’re at the concert tonight and you happen to see someone walking around with bright pink hair and glasses, looking so insanely happy she might actually explode, that would probably be me. I’d be more than happy if you stopped me for a second to say hi or squee over a bias or two… or three or four or seven… I’m always a fan of meeting new people and making new friends! Hope to see you there!
TUNE OF THE WEEK: INFINITE “Bad”
I know INFINITE made their comeback with “Bad” last week but I was slightly sidetracked by a different comeback at the time so I didn’t have much time to squeal over INFINITE. But now that I’ve maybe… sorta… kinda… mellowed a bit… uh… Okay, that’s not at all true so we’re just gonna move along… “Bad” really is a fantastic song and I just couldn’t let it go without saying something so I’m making it this week’s tune. Continue reading “TUNE OF THE WEEK: INFINITE “Bad””
ZOMBIE’S DRAMA REVIEW: Mask Episodes 15-16
I swear, when it comes to this drama, I’ve completely lost my ability to remain calm and rational. If Min Woo’s in a scene, I’m bawling like a baby. If Suk Hoon’s in a scene, I’m spitting venom like a viper. There’s just so much going on, it’s hard for me to deal with such an emotional roller-coaster and then we get this confession at the end of episode fifteen and… Well, there’s just a whole lot of ugly crying going on right now… Pardon me… I think I’m gonna need a moment… Continue reading “ZOMBIE’S DRAMA REVIEW: Mask Episodes 15-16”
K-POP ONE-STOP: July 10-17, 2015
Do you ever feel like dancing for no other reason than just because? Well that’s me today. I don’t even have a reason for it, really. I’m just happy it’s Friday. Maybe I’m happy that a week from today I’ll be seeing BTS in person. Maybe it’s because the sun is shining, my kids are playing nicely (for once) or because I ate a giant bowl of kimchi stew for lunch. It could possibly be because we’ve got a bunch of new (and super awesome) K-Pop MVs to watch… Who knows? Whatever the reason, I’m gonna dance. While I watch these videos. Care to join me? Continue reading “K-POP ONE-STOP: July 10-17, 2015”
FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: Warm and Cozy
This weekend’s drama to marathon is a warm, squishy drama so full of heart-melting moments that by the end of it you’ve been reduced to nothing more than a quivering puddle of goo. (Well, at least that how I felt by the end…) Continue reading “FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: Warm and Cozy”
